Building a legacy in West Coquitlam

Rising from the highest point in West Coquitlam, 567 Clarke + Como by Marcon soars 49-storeys above the streets below – a landmark in the area, Coquitlam’s tallest tower.

Across Como Lake Avenue, is Elmwood. Marcon’s latest tower. The architectural genesis at Elmwood is simple in nature but counterpointed with complex and impactful moves. The angular form of the commercial podium responds directly to the shape of the site, accentuated by a visually prominent architectural screen that wraps the podium. This sculptured screen envelopes the structural columns, providing a character-defining element of the building as well as a permeable year-round outdoor pedestrian experience.

Upon completion, these two projects will speak to their surrounding environment and are reflective of the project’s location within the residential neighbourhood and growing cultural hub of Burquitlam. Combined, they create a choreographed mix of urban experiences, dynamic architecture and a connected public realm.
